Mirage
Nothing- but faded memories was left to mark the shapes and signs painted along forgotten walls scattered fragments lost in time. Footprints and bits of broken bytes Sketched within tapestry’s lines Home to some faded accolade Place of an ebbing soul’s shrine. Long, empty stares without a sight Dashes and glimpses flashed in and out Remnant and bits of simple pleasures The real treasures of your life. Forgotten wishes thrown aside As soul floats back in days gone by Retracing footsteps, recalling tales Lingering echoes lost in time. Mirages- offered sacrifice Packets of thoughts to coincide Scrawled in planes and hidden slopes Immortalized by time. ©2008leofinajanegalleta

The title so perfect for your poem...what lingers in the mind and heart can seem so very tangible though...maybe it is only the desperate need for it that makes it so....enjoyed this...ache and all~

Wow, I really like this. The imagery is lovely and I like how you set up each stanza. It flows nicely and I too believe the title is quite fitting. Well done.
